A wonderful site wooded site in the mountains north of Madrid inspired an investigation into the needs of a family weekend retreat. The image of a house: pitched roof and chimney was at the center of project. This sign of the home is then questioned by cantilevering perpendicular to the slope of the site, allowing for a porch to be created by this slippage.
